📄️ Pull-up Resistors
Protocols such as I2C and 1-Wire use open collector outputs for two way communication on a single data wire. In this type of protocol there is no 1/high level without a pull-up resistor. The pull-up resistor connects to a voltage that "pulls" the wire high. Devices use their output to ground the wire and pull it low.

📄️ Self-test Procedure
Every Bus Pirate is lovingly tested by our crack team before it ships, but problems can always occur in transit or over time. The Bus Pirate firmware has a self-test that will help determine if your Bus Pirate is in good working order.
📄️ USB Flash Storage
The Bus Pirate has a NAND flash chip for storing settings and data. The flash chip also appears as a USB flash drive when the Bus Pirate is connected to a computer. Sharing the chip between the Bus Pirate and the computer operating system is a bit tricky.
